173 Sailors Still Under Treatment - NOCPCO

The Flight No SG -9061 from the Chennai 109 passengers, Flight No UL -102 from Maldives one passenger and Flight No QR-668 from Qatar one Passenger, will arrive in Sri Lanka today (14) and all of them will be sent to Army Quarantine Centres for necessary quarantine process, a statement issued this morning (14) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

77 individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Citrus Waskaduwa (72) and Ruwala Kalpitiya (5) Quarantine Centres will leave for their homes today (14) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates.

By today (14), a total of 13,615 quarantined individuals from Tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

As of now, 4,463 persons are still in quarantine in 44 island-wide QCs, run by Tri services.

By this morning (6.00 am) 4 more COVID 19 positive cases, 3 people from overseas and 1 sailor were reported. 22 more heroic sailors recovered and left hospitals.

As of now, heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 877 in total. Of them, 704 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals. A total of 173 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement ended.
