The Senior Non Commissioned Officers Logistics Course-28 (SNCOLC 28) commenced on10 February 2026 at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) with the opening remarks delivered by the Commandant ASL, Brigadier DIS Jayasinghe ndc psc. The Senior Non Commissioned Officers Logistics Course- 28 comprises 42 students representing various regiments of the Sri Lanka Army. The course is designed to enhance leadership qualities, professional competence, and instructional capabilities of Senior Non Commissioned Officers (SNCOs), preparing them for increased responsibilities within the Army.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Officers and Other Ranks of the permanent staff of ASL, along with the students of SNCOLC 28. In his opening remarks, the Commandant highlighted the importance of professional development, leadership and discipline expected of SNCOs in the Sri Lanka Army, while underscoring the vital role they play in operational effectiveness and institutional excellence. Following the opening remarks, the course briefing was conducted by the Senior Instructor Training Team 2, Lieutenant Colonel MAJM Perera RWP RSP psc SLSR, who outlined the course objectives, training methodology and expected standards of performance. Sub sequently, the administrative briefing was delivered by the Staff Officer 1 (Administration and Quartering), Lieutenant Colonel DMCM Weerakoon Lsc SLEME, providing guidance on administrative procedures and welfare-related matters.
