COUNTRY PRESENTATION OF LOGISTICS STAFF COURSE NO 8

Being the military seat of excellence in logistics, the Army School of Logistics commenced Logistics Staff Course with the extreme intension to produce motivated and professionally competent logisticians to face any diversified nature of threats which undermine the national security matrix of Sri Lanka. In this context, country presentation is introduced to the course curriculum to develop presentation skills and the organizing capabilities of the student officers.

The Country Presentation on Sri Lanka of the Logistics Staff Course No 8 was presented on 28 February 2022 at the auditorium of the Army School of Logistics. Sri Lankan Student Officers were able to conduct a comprehensive and informative presentation and impress the audience especially the foreign students who came from friendly foreign countries Bangladesh and Nepal. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal these three South Asian nations have been historically tied before the sub continent’s colonization by the British. As small countries, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal share almost similar views on regional and global issues. Thus, the relationship between these friendly foreign countries is growing continually. During the presentation Sri Lankan rich history, cultural diversity, natural beauty, warm-hearted people, the glory of the armed forces and the tremendous economic potential were presented to the audience. This golden opportunity created a wonderful forum to unveil Sri Lankan pride and prestige especially in front of the foreign student officers.

The Commandant (overlooking duties) of the Army School of Logistics Col YKS Rangika psc was the Chief Guest. Participation of Major Saadi Mahmud from Bangladesh Army with his family and Major A Bikram Rana from Nepal Army added colour to the event by representing foreign nations. Senior Instructors, Members of the Faculty and Members of the Permanent Staff also witnessed the presentation.
