FIELD VISIT TO LANKA INDIAN OIL CORPORATION BY JUNIOR OFFICERS LOGISTICS COURSE NO 19

Student Officers of Junior Officers Logistics Course No 19 proceeded with their pre-arranged visit to Lanka IOC on 14 July 2023. After bestowing a warm welcome by the the delegation was accompanied to a briefing done by the Senior Vice President (Ops & LBP).

Next, the Student Officers continued with the pre-arranged field visit to the Jetty, Gantry, Lube Blending Plant, LAB and Tank Farm, where a comprehensive briefings were done by the staff.

Later, the group was accompanied to the JKAB Beach Hotel for the interaction session. The Assistant Manager Operations, Mr V Sutharsanan conducted a briefing on “Supply Chain Management including Procurement, Storage, Oil Refining and Distribution System”.

Certificate awarding ceremony was held followed by lunch hosted by IOC. Finally, a memento was presented as a token of appreciation by the Student Officers of JOLC No 19 to the respected Senior Vice President, Lanka IOC, Mr. Debanjan Mukherjee.

This visit was able to enhance the knowledge of the Student Officers while offering them a thorough and realistic understanding to the procedure of transporting oil from sea to land until it reach to the end users.

The Commandant, Brigadier HAM Premarathe psc Lsc, Senior Instructor Training Team 2, the Members of the faculty and the Students Officers of JOLC No 19 participated to this occasion.
