Junior Officers Logistics Course (JOLC) No 20 is conducted for the Junior Officers from various Arms and Services. Accordingly, the “Ex-Steering Wheel” was conducted from 21 February to 25 February 2024 followed by a Red Ink Correction (RIC) on 28 February 2024. It is one of the major exercises of the course which is designed to give an exposure to the Student Officers on planning and execution of Logistics/ Administrative functions of DAA during defensive operation and the mechanism of writing a Combat Service Support Appreciation.
Thus, the exercise was conducted with the view of imparting the knowledge on the mechanism of building a logistics appreciation while allowing them to apply the fundamentals and theories into the planning process of Combat Service Support at the Brigade level.
Exercise commenced with the briefing done by the Sponsor DS and the Student Officers were given the appointments of a Divisional level. There, they were given the opportunity to exercise their Command and Staff ability over 4 days.
The exercise was conducted at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) premises under the directions of the Brig R T Lokuthotahewa USP psc Commandant, ASL.
