THE ARMY SCHOOL OF LOGISTICS MARKS ITS 12TH ANNIVERSARY DAY WITH ELABORATE ARRANGEMENTS

With the vision of being the driving force as the premier logistics training institute of the Sri Lanka Army in facilitating and uplifting the professional knowledge of Officers and Other Ranks in the field of logistics, meeting international standards, the Army School of Logistics (ASL) was established on 9th May 2011 by the former Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General J Jayasuriya RWP VSV USP ndu psc. Thereafter it has become the pinnacle point of training all levels of Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers in the fields of Logistics and Administration.

Marking the 12th Milestone on the journey of creating pioneers in logistics bloodline of the country, the ASL conducted a series of commemorative programmes, on the directions of the Commandant, Brigadier EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO.

On 10 May 2023, the military formalities commenced with a Guard Turnout presented by the troops of the ASL saluting the Commandant. Planting a tree sapling, a troop address followed by an All-Rank lunch and a mega musical entertaining event ended the day’s anniversary programme.

Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, Members of the Faculty, Permanent Staff, Student Officers and the Other Ranks took part in the anniversary celebrations.
