CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE SENIOR NON COMMISIONED OFFICERS LOGISTICS COURSE NUMBER 24

The Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Logistics Course (SNCOLC) No 24 at Army School of Logistics (ASL) culminated awarding certificates to course participants who successfully completed the Course on 07 March 2023.

The course commenced on 09 January 2023 with the participation of 38 Non Commissioned Officers from various Regiments who have been selected to perform the unit administrative duties as Regimental Quartermaster Sergeants of various battalions in the SL Army.

The course curriculum included the existing theories/practices of logistics procedures, a study package of English language, IT and an educational visit to Forward Maintenance Area (East). Further, the visits to historically and academically significant places in Trincomalee area such as Girihandusaya, Seruwavila, Fort Fedric – Trincomalee, Koneshwaram Kovil, Gokanna temple, Hot water springs at Kanniya, Nilaweli Beach and a Cricket Tournament, a Speed March and an English Talent Show were also conducted during the course.

Addressing the gathering, the Commandant Brigadier EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO highlighted that the course participants have proficient the objectives of their course. In conclusion, he recommended them to endure with cultivating their professional qualities and wished them well for their future endeavors.

S/N100021 Sergeant Munasinghe MGSN 4(V) SLAOC achieved the First in order of merits and specially commended by the Commandant, ASL. S/321996 Sergeant Senerath SMANK 4 SF and S/G101805 Sergeant Wedagedara WGHP 5(V) GR secured the Second and Third places respectively.

The Chief Instructor, Senior Instructor Training Team 2, Members of the Faculty, Members of the Permanent Staff and the SNCOs participated in the event.
