EX WAGGONER- LOGISTICS STAFF COURSE NO 09

The Exercise “WAGGONER” is the major exercise in the second term of the Logistics Staff Course No 09. EX - WAGGONER was successfully conducted by the Student Officers of LSC No 9 from 24 June 2023 to 28 June 2023.

The main objectives of this Ex is to enhance the knowledge of Student Officers on the importance of an intimate relationship between the Operation and Logistics Plans at all levels right from the planning stage up to the conduct of the operation and to comprehend the significance of judicious utilization of the available Logistics resources to attain optimum results.

This exercise was designed as a single side MAPEX and SMD with view to impart the knowledge on planning of Rail and Road movement, a Dumping Programme and Combat Service Support within the framework of a divisional defensive operation.

Exercise was commenced with the initial briefing by the Sponsor DS. The Student Officers were given a hypothetical scenario of the conventional war fighting. While representing as a staff of a division, they attended for series of strenuous activities.

Finally, EX - WAGGONER was followed by a RIC on 01 July 2023 in order to evaluate how well the Student Officers have absorbed and understood the concept during the exercise.

This exercise was conducted under the guidance of the Commandant of ASL Brigadier EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors and Directing Staff of ASL.
