Having been known as the highest professional qualification awarded in the field of logistics and administration to the middle grade officers in the Tri-forces, the Logistics Staff Course (LSC) enjoys a lasting popularity among the military professionals. Being the pioneer of logistics studies, the Army School of Logistics (ASL) has so far produced over 325 LSC qualified officers who proudly wear the post nominal ‘Lsc’. For the year 2026, the registration of student officers to the LSC 12 was successfully conducted with the participation of the Faculty Members on 10 January 2026 embarking a year long journey of professional study.
Following the successful completion of registration process, the book pack distribution for the LSC 12 was successfully conducted on 11 January 2026 upon the instruction of the Commandant of ASL, Brigadier DIS Jayasinghe ndc psc with the participation of Chief Instructor of Army School of Logistics Colonel MSR Mohamed Lsc, Senior Instructor of Training Team I, Faculty Members, officers of the permanent staff and the student officers of the LSC 12. The course comprises of 23 student officers, including 20 officers from the Sri Lanka Army, one officer from the Sri Lanka Air Force, one officer each from Bangladesh Army and the Indian Army, reflecting its multinational and joint-service character. The event was graced by the Chief Instructor, who formally distributed the book packs to the student officers.
The distribution marked the commencement of the academic phase of the course and underscored the institution’s commitment to providing essential learning resources to facilitate professional military education and collaborative learning among participating officers.
