ADORNING PARADE OF INSIGNIA AND CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY - QUARTERMASTERS COMMISSIONING COURSE 08

The Army School of Logistics (ASL) marked the culmination of the Quartermasters Commissioning Course 08 (QMCC 08) on 22 January 2026. The QMCC 08 consisted of 10 Warrant Officers (WOs) commenced on 03 November 2025. This event marked a significant milestone in the professional development of the WOs in the Sri Lanka Army who passed out as Probationary Officer Quartermasters Technical (PO QM-Tech).

The adorning parade was graced by the Commandant of the ASL, Brigadier DIS Jayasinghe ndc psc as the Chief Guest. Upon his arrival, the Commandant was received by the Chief Instructor of the ASL Colonel MSR Mohamed Lsc. The Commandant adorned the epaulettes to the student WOs, formally signifying their assumption of duties as PO QM-Tech of the Sri Lanka Army.

Following the adorning of insignia, the certificate awarding ceremony was conducted at the ASL with the participation of the officers of the permanent staff of the ASL and the PO QM-Techs of QMCC 08. Certificates were presented to the POs of QMCC 08 in recognition of their academic, military and professional achievements throughout the Course. Probationary Officer RMI Saman Kumara SLA distinguished himself by securing the first in order of merit of the Course, demonstrating outstanding performance and commitment.

The ceremony concluded with the closing remarks delivered by the Commandant. There, he congratulated QMCC 08 as they assumed the rank of PO QM-Tech and began their journey towards commission.
