Major General KMG Bandaranayake USP ndc psc made his official visit to the School of Signals on 9 February 2026 upon assuming duties as the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
The day’s itinerary got underway by the Colonel Commandant being welcomed by the Commandant of the School of Signals Colonel DMS Dissanayake













As per the concept of the commandant of the School of Signals, Colonel DMS Dissanayake USP psc, a distribution of school items was arranged to support children of other rank staff who were affected by the recent adverse weather.
The School of Signals celebrated the dawn of the year 2026 according to military customs and traditions. All troops attended the flag hoisting ceremony preceded by the Commandant during which the government service oath was taken following the reading out of the Army Commander’s new year message by the Adjutant.
Colonel DMS Dissanayake USP psc assumed office as the 32nd Commandant of the School of Signals on 30 December 2025.
Colonel MR Hameem USP, the 31st Commandant of the School of Signals relinquished his duties on 23 December 2025.
