Parallel to the Clean Sri Lanka" program, as per the concept of the Commander of the Army, the cleaning and renovation program of selected with the low facilities schools was initiated in the selected WP/Gm/Pelpita Primary Vidyalaya, Pugoda and Pahalayagoda Sri Swarnapali Maha Vidyalaya in the Gampaha District as per the priority policy and the cleaning programs were initiated and the inaugural ceremony was held in those schools with great pomp on 20th February 2025.
Accordingly these programs were implemented under the instructions of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (West) Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, and under the guidance of Major General K J N M P K Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division and under the supervision of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade Brigadier R R de S Dharmawickrema RSP, the Commanding Officer 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry Major N M G K C Neththikumara SLLI with troops and the Commanding Officer Sect - 15 Lieutenant Colonel UA Thilakasiri WWV RWP USP with his troops this event was organized and conducted under the theme of "A Clean Educational Environment".
The event was attended by the Assistant Divisional Secretary of Gampaha, The Director of Zonal Education Office Gampaha, The OICs of Ganemulla and Pugoda Police, the Grama Niladharis of Pahalayagoda and Pelpita, The Incumbents of the Pahalayagoda and Pelpita temples, Parents, Teachers and school children, the alumni associations and many other officials.
