STARTUP PROGRAMME FOR THE UPGRADING OF SCHOOL FACILITIES AT 57 INF DIV AOR- 1ST STAGE UNDER ‘CLEAN SRI LANKA’ PROJECT

“Education is the Most Powerful weapon which you can use to change the world- by Nelson Mandela” In view of that great concept Government focused to attention towards upgrading infrastructure and environmental cleanliness of government schools in line with “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative project.

Therefore, instructions of the Commander - Security Forces Headquarters (West) Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc and direct supervision of the General Officer Commanding - 57 Infantry Division Major General W M P M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu participated to inauguration session of upgrading infrastructure facilities and cleaning program of Ruwangiri Central College at Narammala on 20th February 2025. The event continued till evening in the school premises and carried out works effectively. There were 50 soldiers actively engaged in this significant resourcefulness endeavor.

The Deputy General Officer Commanding - 57 Infantry Division, the Commander 571 Infantry Brigade, the Commanding Officer 9th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard, the Principal and Staff of the school, Officials from the Divisional Secretary Office -Narammala, Parents contributed their fullest support immensely for this significant event.
