Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (West) made an official visit to 14 Infantry Division Headquarters and under command Infantry Brigades on 24th February 2025. Brigadier G S K Perera RSP ndc the Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier K L Munasinghe USP the Brigadier Admin & Quartering accompanied the Commander during the visit.
On his arrival at the premises, the Commander was warmly welcomed by the, Major General K J N M P K Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 14 Infantry Division at the esteemed locations. Thereafter, comprehensive briefings on role and tasks and the present situation of the respective AOR was briefed by GOC. Afterwards Commander visited the camp premises and signed the Visitors’ Book to mark his visit.
Next, the Commander Security Forces (West) visited 142 Infantry Brigade and Commander honored with a Guard Turnout at the entrance of the Brigade. After the military formalities Commander 142 Infantry Brigade done a comprehensive briefing and visit Sector 6th Battalion Gajaba Regiment also.
Next the Commander arrived to 144 Infantry Brigade and honoured with a drive pass. The Commander 144 Infantry Brigade warmly welcomed the commander and done a comprehensive briefing on role and tasks of the Brigade. After that Commander visited 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and honoured with a drive pass. U K D D P Udugama planted a sapling to mark his visit to the Brigade and visited the camp premises. In here Commander signed the Visitors’ Book also.
The General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers of Security Forces (West), Commanding Officers from Under Command Battalion also participated for this program.
