TRADITIONAL KATINA POOJA CEREMANY HELD AT SRI SAMBODHI VIHARAYA KOKILAI, MULLATIVU

The traditional Katina Pooja Ceremony of Sri Sambodhi Viharaya in Mullativu took place on 09 and 10 November 2024, under the guidance of venerable Thissapura Gunarathana Thero, with the support of the 591 Infantry Brigade.

This annual event began on 09 November under the supervision of Major General DRN Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 59 Infantry Division and Brigadier M J Ubeysekera RSP psc, the Commander 591 Infantry Brigade.

Troops of 591 Infantry Brigade, 12 Sri Lana Light Infantry Regiment and 10 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment provided their assistance to organize the annual Katina Pooja ceremony.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and approximately 200 devotees were participated in the event.
