2 (VOLUNTEER) BATTALION OF VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT BUILT A HOUSE FOR MEMBER OF THE BATTALION

The constructed house was handed over to Sergeant Wickramasinghe who is serving in the 2 (Volunteer) Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 19 November 2024. The occasion was graced by Major General J P C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) as the esteemed chief guest. Major General W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP, General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division and Colonel P M De Silva RSP USP Commander 213 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Other ranks participated to the event. The Construction of the house was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the troops from the 2 (Volunteer) Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and conducted with the financial donation of retired and on service Officers/ Other ranks belonging to the battalion.
