On the guidance of Commander Security Force (Central) Major General Samantha Silva RWP RSP ndu, the troops under 12 Infantry Division made another initiative to distribute dry ration packs to deserving low-income families in Moneragala District. Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc General Officer Commanding 12 Infantry Division pioneered the social welfare programme conducted to facilitate 200 families with dry ration packs and essential food items on 16 June 2022. Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation and Kalutara Sasanarakshaka Mandalaya made the necessary donations for the distribution.
General Officer Commanding 12 Infantry Division, Commander 121 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Troops, Government Officials and Residents were among the participants.
