Military Police Seva Vanitha Ladies Mark International Women's Day

To be in parallel with the International Women’s Day, the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police- Seva Vanitha Branch (SLCMP-SVB) in coordination with troops of the 5 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police conducted an offer of alms to Buddhist nuns and a lecture on the importance of the day at Regimental Centre on 10 March 2023.

The conceptual guidance of Mrs Inoka Illangakoon, Chairperson, SLCMP-SVB and Major General Anil Illangakoon, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area-Mullaittivu and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police enabled the project.

Troops and SVB members, led by the SVB Chairperson offered alms to 10 Buddhist nuns, resident at Sanghamitta Monastery at Madiwela, Kotte before the gathering listened to the lecture on "Women's Empowerment"delivered by Dr Kalpana Ambeypitiya at the invitation of the SLCMP-SVB.
