2 (v) Sri Lanka Signal Corps troops contributed their technical expertise and manpower for construction of a new house to the family of late Staff Sergeant R.G.S.K Deshapriya who recently died of a heart attack.
The Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Unit (SLSC-SVU) after a request to this effect was referred to the Chairperson, SLSC-SVU, Mrs. Sajeewani Peiris by the widow of Staff Sergeant, Mrs Deshapriya, took the initiative in erecting a new house to the family as the one they lived was not spacious enough for the family.
