On 10 December 2025, an awareness programme on communicable diseases was conducted for the troops of the 14 (V) Gemunu Watch. The session was delivered by Dr. Chathurani Amarasinghe from the National Hospital, Colombo.
The programme focused on enhancing the knowledge of soldiers regarding the prevention, early identification, and management of communicable diseases, contributing to the overall health and readiness of the battalion.
The initiative provided valuable medical guidance and strengthened the troops’ understanding of health-related risks, ensuring improved wellbeing within the unit.
