5TH BATTALION THE GEMUNU WATCH PROVIDES MORNING MEAL TO PATIENTS AT WELLAWAYA GENERAL HOSPITAL

On 22 November 2025 Troops of the 5thBattalion, the Gemunu Watch, demonstrating their commitment to community welfare, provided a morning meal to all in-patients receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Wellawaya.

The initiative was carried out with the collective contribution and support of officers and all ranks, reflecting the Regiment’s dedication to humanitarian service and strengthening civil–military relations.

This compassionate gesture brought comfort to the patients and highlighted the Regiment’s ongoing efforts to support the well-being of the local community.
