According to the concept of Dr. (Mrs.) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch, a donation programme was held on 19 October 2025 at the Seva Vanitha Office, Regimental Headquarters, The Gemunu Watch.
The programme was organized with the objective of extending meaningful assistance to soldiers and their families, thereby enhancing their welfare and improving their living standards.
During the event, several donations were presented, including book packs for Grade 5 scholarship high achievers, a food dehydrator machine worth Rs. 50,000 to support a soldier’s wife in her self employment venture, and financial assistance for the purchase of milk powder for a soldier blessed with triplets.
Furthermore, the Seva Vanitha Branch extended financial aid to the mother of two fallen heroes to cover her medical expenses, while a Bluetooth speaker was gifted to the Gemunu Watch Dancing Team in appreciation of their artistic talents and contributions to regimental events.
These initiatives exemplify the steadfast commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch towards uplifting the morale and welfare of the regiment’s soldiers and their families. Through continuous acts of compassion and service, the branch continues to strengthen the spirit of unity within the military community.
