The SevaVanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch (SVBGW) successfully organized the “සේවා වනිතා සිසු අභිමන් – 2025 (Stage III)” Book Donation Programme on 06 October 2025 at The Regimental Headquarters theGemunu Watch.
This programme was initiated under the concept and guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) DilrukshiWimalaratne, President of the SVBGW, with the full support of Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, The Director General Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment theGemunu Watch.
The event aimed to recognize and reward the outstanding academic achievements of children of Gemunu Watch soldiers who excelled in the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination. This initiative not only celebrated their success but also encouraged continued academic excellence while inspiring the wider regimental community to value education and nurture future generations.
During the programme, school items including books, school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other essential supplies were distributed among the high achieving children.
A large number of distinguished guests graced the occasion, including Dr. (Mrs.) DilrukshiWimalaratne, The President of the SVBGW, Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, Director General Infantry and The Colonel of the Regiment The Gemunu Watch, Brig KMN Dikkumbura RSP The Centre Commandant -RHQ GW, senior officers, officers, other ranks, and members of the SevaVanitha Branch.
