The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch (SVBGW) successfully organized an informative lecture followed by its monthly meeting on 16 July 2025 at the Officers’ Mess, Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Corps of Signals, Panagoda.
The event commenced with a special lecture titled “The Art of Preventing Ageing”, delivered by Dr. Jayaruwan Bandara, Director of the Sri Lanka National Eye Hospital. The lecture offered valuable insights into healthy ageing and lifestyle practices. The Director General Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch, Maj Gen W.B.J.K. Wimalaratne RWP RSP, attended the event along with senior officers of the regiment and their spouses. The lecture concluded with refreshments and an opportunity for informal interaction.
Following the lecture, the monthly meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch was held, presided over by the President of the SVBGW, Dr. (Mrs.) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne. During the meeting, the President addressed the gathering to share directives received from the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit and outlined future welfare initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of Gemunu Watch members and their families.
