According to the concept of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch Dr. (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne, conducted an essential medical equipment donation programme to the cancer ward of Teaching Hospital Kurunegala on 03 August 2025, continuing efforts to support national healthcare institution and contribute meaningfully to the society.
As a part of this initiative, SVBGW donated a patient trolley and a Dressing trolley valued at Rs. 200 000.00, with the aim of improving the comfort and wellbeing of cancer patients receiving care.
Following the donation programme, the mind relaxing music programme was conducted by the Highlanders music band of the Gemunu Watch to create a soothing atmosphere, bringing joy and emotional comfort to the patients.
A friendly interaction was held between the members of the SVBGW, Doctors and Hospital staff. In addition gift packs were presented by Dr. (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne the president of the SVBGW and the members of the SVBGW to the patients.
Many respected guests attended the event including Dr. (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne the president of the SVBGW, members of the SVBGW, Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP the Director General Infantry and the Colonel of the regiment of the Gemunu Watch, along with Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks of the Gemunu Watch.
