The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch organized a site visit to TR Export International (Pvt) Ltd on 27 September 2025, as a concept of the president of the SVBGW Dr. (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne to continuing efforts to promote self-employment opportunities for the Seva Vanitha Branch members.
The President and Senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch and soldiers with their wives attended the visit. They were cordially welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rajitha Abeygunasekara, and his team.
During the visit, participants were provided with an overview of the company’s operations, including methods of cultivating plants to meet export quality standards, procedures for purchasing and exporting, and essential requirements for maintaining high quality productivity.
Mr. Abeygunasekara further encouraged the participants to form cooperative groups, cultivate plants, and establish a central collection point to facilitate the export process. As an additional incentive, TR Export International pledged to supply nursery plants, pots and other essential materials free of charge, enabling participants to commence their entrepreneurial journey from home.
The visit proved to be an invaluable opportunity for the members of the Seva Vanitha Branch to gain practical insights into the export industry and to explore sustainable avenues for self-employment.
