Renovation of the Officers' Mess Complex by the 2nd Battalion of the Gemunu Watch

On 19th October 2024, the 2nd Battalion of the Gemunu Watch proudly unveiled the renovated Officers' Mess complex. The event was graced by Major General S W B Welagedra RSP VSV USP ndc, the Director General of Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch, who served as the chief guest.

The ceremony was attended by the current Commanding Officer, Major S M L L De Silva, along with fellow officers, council members, former commanding officers, and senior military personnel. This significant renovation underscores the commitment to enhancing the facilities for the officers and reflects the esteemed tradition of the Gemunu Watch. The collaborative efforts of all involved were evident in the successful completion of the project, marking a proud moment in the battalion's history.
