The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch and the Regimental Centre organized Commemoration Ceremony for the parents on 20May 2023 at the Regimental Centre.76 parents of 50 fallen heroes participated in the commemoration at the Heroes’ Monument at the Regimental Centre and Bana Preaching Pinkama also was organized for transferring merits. The event was graced by the Colonel of the Regiment Major General Prasad Edirisinghe the President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Shalika Edirisinghe, and the Centre Commandant Brig WBJP Wimalarathne RWP RSP, members of the Seva Vanitha Branch and officers and other ranks of the Gemunu Watch also were attended. The parents also were offered the lunch at the end of the ceremony. The parents and their relatives highly appreciated for the gratitude the Regimental Centre intends to continue such events in the future too.
