GEMUNU WATCH SEVA VANITHA BRANCH EXTENDS SUPPORT TO ARMY SEVA VANITHA UNIT TO ASSIST FAMILIES AFFECTED BY CYCLONE “DITWAH”

The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch extended timely humanitarian assistance to families affected by Cyclone Ditwah by handing over essential relief items to the Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

This initiative was carried out under the guidance of the President of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Shihani Abeywardhana. The formal handover took place during the Monthly Seva Vanitha Meeting held at Army Headquarters on 12 December 2025.

The consignment of essential items including brand new clothing, toiletries, and bottled mineral water was officially handed over to the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, to be distributed among the affected families.

This timely contribution underscores the steadfast commitment of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch to supporting service families and communities in need, while reinforcing collective humanitarian relief efforts during times of natural disaster.
