COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT, THE GEMUNU WATCH, VISITS 5TH AND 9TH BATTALIONS

On 27th January 2025, the Colonel of the Regiment of The Gemunu Watch, Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, officially visited the 5th and 9th Battalions of The Gemunu Watch.

Upon arrival at each battalion, he was warmly received by the respective Commanding Officers, who extended a ceremonial welcome in accordance with military traditions.

During the visit, Col of the regiment actively participated in a tree-planting initiative, reinforcing the military’s dedication to environmental sustainability. Addressing the officers and troops, he emphasized the importance of discipline, professionalism, and unwavering integrity. He urged all personnel to remain vigilant against illegal activities and uphold the highest standards in their military careers.

The Centre Commandant of The Gemunu Regiment also attended the occasion, reflecting the shared commitment to the core values and traditions of the regiment.
