The SevaVanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch (SVBGW) successfully organized the ‘’ සේවා වනිතා විරු සවිය - 2025’’ donation programme on 27 August 2025 at Paradise Hall - Regimental Head Quarters - The Gemunu Watch (RHQGW).
The programme was initiated under the concept of Dr. (Mrs.) DilrukshiWimalaratne, The president of the SVBGW, with the full guidance and support of Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP the Director General Infantry and The Colonel of the Regiment - The Gemunu Watch.
The event was held to provide Financial, Medical Assistance and Dry ration packs with the aim of uplifting the living standard of the Army personnel and civil employees of the Gemunu Watch.
During the event, Dry ration packs each worth of Rs. 7,500.00 were distributed among selected needy five civil employees. In addition, Mrs. PriyankaGalappaththi, beloved spouse of Major General HCL Galappaththi RSP USP donated a wheel chair to the Reinforcement Troops of the Gemunu Watch.
Furthermore, housing grants were distributed by Dr. (Mrs.) DilrukshiWimalaratne, The President of the SVBGW among three soldiers to support the construction and completion the remaining works of their houses. These generous contributions were highly appreciated by both the military personnel and civil employees of the Gemunu Watch.
The event was graced by a large number of distinguished guests, including Dr. (Mrs.) DilrukshiWimalaratne, The president of the SVBGW, members of the SVBGW, the Centre Commandant – RHQGW, senior officers, officers, other ranks and civil employees of the Gemunu Watch.
The ‘’ සේවා වනිතා විරු සවිය - 2025’’ programme was a proud moment for the regiment and a meaningful contribution to up lift the living standard of the families of military personnel and civil employees.
