Colonel Commandant Marked Visit to 14 SLA

The Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda ndc IG marked visit to 14th Rocket Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery at Vavunia on 11 November 2021.

On arrival, the Colonel Commandant was honoured with a Guard Turnout at the main entrance of 14 SLA and welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Lt Col GK Paranavithana RSP psc IG SLA. The Commanding Officer of 14 SLA briefed about the present deployment, duties and developments of the regiment.

Subsequently, Colonel Commandant planted a sapling to mark his visit and addressed all the troops. During the field visit Colonel Commandant visited the Gun Positions of 141 and 143 Rocket Batteries. Eventually, the visiting commander left his Signature in Visitors book to make his visit.

The event took place with strictly adhering to the health guidance given to prevent the COVID 19 pandemic.
