HEAD OF MISSION AND FORCE COMMANDER OF UNIFIL VISITS INJURED SOLDIER AT JABEL AMEL HOSPITAL IN TRYRE, LEBANON.

Lieutenant General Aroldo Lazaro Saenz the Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNIFIL, together with Contingent Commander of SLFPU visited the Jabel Amel Hospital in Tyre , Lebanon on Saturday (12) October 2024 to personally inquire about the Soldier who was injured by a strike of fighting forces while performing force protection duties in UNIFIL HQ, Naqoura, Lebanon.

The Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNIFIL took the time to engage with the Soldier, expressing his concern and inquiring about the progress of his treatment. The Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNIFIL also met the medical authorities at the hospital, emphasizing the importance of providing the injured UNIFIL personnel with the highest quality of care and ensuring his speedy recovery.

Before departing, the Head of Mission & Force Commander presented the injured soldier a UNIFIL coin to appreciate the commitment and dedication of the soldier. Furthermore, he acknowledged the dedication and commitment of the medical staff, encouraging them to continue providing the best possible treatment to the injured personnel.
