ARMY SCHOOL OF LOGISTICS DELEGATION EMBARKS ON LANDMARK FIRST VISIT TO ROYAL THAI ARMY LOGISTICS SCHOOL TO ENHANCE INTEROPERABILITY

The official study tour of the 33-member delegation from the School of Logistics to the Royal Thai Army Logistics School on 20 May 2026 marked a historic milestone, representing the first-ever institutional engagement between the two establishments. This landmark interaction served to strengthen military educational cooperation and professional ties between Sri Lanka and Thailand.

The delegation was extended a warm welcome by Colonel Peerawas Sukarnkar, Deputy Commandant of the Royal Thai Army Logistics School, together with senior officers and staff. The programme commenced with an orientation briefing outlining the school’s vision, mission, organisational framework and its vital role in developing professionally competent logistics personnel capable of supporting modern joint military operations through advanced administrative and logistical systems. The delegation gained valuable exposure to the institution’s training methodologies, specialized logistics courses, operational planning processes and future development strategies that contribute significantly to the operational readiness of the Royal Thai Army.

During the bilateral exchange, instructors and officers of Royal Thai Army Logistics School conducted comprehensive professional briefings covering logistics command structures, sustainment operations, transportation management, training administration and military logistics planning within the theatre of operations. The delegation actively participated in an interactive discussion session where officers from both countries exchanged professional experiences, operational perspectives and lessons learned in a highly cordial and transparent atmosphere.

The engagement further highlighted the shared commitment of both armed forces towards enhancing interoperability, institutional learning and regional military cooperation. As a gesture of goodwill and enduring friendship, plaques and tokens of appreciation were exchanged between representatives of the two institutions.
