VISIT OF LOGISTICS STAFF COURSE 12 TO AIR FORCE ACADEMY – CHINA BAY
A delegation comprising the Commandant of the Army School of Logistics, Brigadier DIS Jayasinghe ndc psc, the Chief Instructor Colonel MSR Mohamed Lsc, Senior Instructors, Directing Staff and student officers of Logistics Staff Course 12 paid a study visit to the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy – China Bay on 07 May 2026. The delegation was welcomed by Air Vice Marshal WPAH Perera RSP and Bar, MPhil, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MA (SSS-USA), BSc (Def Stu), ndc (Ind), ctf-ndu, psc.
The visit aimed to enhance inter-service understanding and broaden professional knowledge on Air Force logistics, operational support systems and aviation logistics management. The programme contained lectures and briefings on Sri Lanka Air Force logistics procedures and the SLAF EPAS System, providing participants with valuable insights into supply chain management, maintenance support, operational sustainment and digitalized administrative processes.
The delegation also attended presentations by No. 1 Flying Training Wing and No. 3 Maritime Squadron on their operational roles, training responsibilities and aircraft capabilities. Guided tours to the respective hangars enabled officers to observe aircraft maintenance activities, engineering support arrangements and aviation logistics practices related to operational readiness.
The visit concluded with a fellowship session and lunch, during which tokens of appreciation were exchanged. The programme proved highly informative and beneficial, further strengthening professional cooperation and mutual understanding between the Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Air Force.
