EXERCISE “GOLDEN ANT”- LOGISTICS STAFF COURSE NO 10

The EX - GOLDEN ANT, the second main exercise and the final exercise in the term three of the Logistics Staff Course No 10 was held from 20 September 2024 to 26 September 2024. It was designed in forms of MAPEX/ TEWT and SMD followed by a RIC on 27 September 2024. The terminal learning objective of the exercise was to create a hypothetical situation for Student Officers to plan and conduct CSS support for an Infantry Division during an offensive operational scenario. Further, the RIC created a platform for the Student Officers to produce a sound CSS appreciation upon their planning individually to evaluate their competencies.

The Student Officers were divided into three syndicates and appointed as the staff of an Infantry Division Headquarters and created environment for them to proceed with the functions, while responding to the diversified nature of threat. The exercise was well executed under the supervision and the guidance of the Commandant of ASL, Brigadier RT Lokuthotahewa USP psc and the Chief Instructor along with the effort of the Members of the Faculty.
